2025 - Present

Challenge

While many acknowledge the role of Youth in shaping a sustainable future, educational initiatives need to be made more openly accessible with tools that help inspire the next generation about biodiversity.

Action

By partnering with Scienscope, Dona Bertarelli Philanthropy aims to further empower Swiss youth to connect with biodiversity through interactive workshops blending science and advocacy, and focusing on an interdisciplinary approach.

Scienscope

Founded in 2015, Scienscope is the scientific mediation center of the Faculty of Sciences of UNIGE (University of Geneva). It offers workshops in biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics, pharmacy, physics, astronomy, Anthropology, life sciences and environment, in which researchers lead hands-on sessions and carry out original experiments. By making science accessible to the youngest, Scienscope plays a fundamental role for a better understanding of the world and its challenges, thus playing an active part in preserving our environment.
